Our History
Cech Scale Company was founded in 1936 by Tony Cech, a skilled scale machinist trained through a traditional apprenticeship in Germany. With nothing more than a set of test weights, a few tools, and a strong work ethic, Tony began building his business one customer at a time.Known for his ability to fix just about anything and his unwavering commitment to doing things the right way, Tony quickly earned a reputation for quality service. His favorite saying—“If there’s a will, there’s a way”—became the foundation of the company’s philosophy.
As the business grew, Tony passed along not only his technical skills, but also his values of precision, resilience, and hard work. That legacy carried Cech through times of change, from mechanical to electronic equipment, and continues to shape how we serve our customers today.
