Why Calibration Requires More
Than a Certified Sticker
A calibration sticker tells you the date of the last visit and that the technician signed off. It does not tell you what the instrument was doing before the technician arrived — which is the question that matters for compliance, investigation, and calibration interval management.
Cech documents as-found performance at every test point before making any adjustment: what the scale was reading, how far it was from the reference, and whether that deviation was within or outside the applicable tolerance. That as-found record is what supports quality management systems, OOT investigations, and regulatory inspection readiness.
